This is a good step forward on the state's part - especially because the school was set to be demolished until an advocacy push a few months ago. OPSB no longer owns the school, but the RFP is still functionally meaningless if:
- The destination site in the 2900 block of Tulane Avenue is not actually procured.
- The funding for the move is not airtight
- The various obstacles along the route up Tulane Avenue cannot be cleared in a timely fashion
I hope all those issues have been or will soon be resolved. I'm also wondering what part of the building's lower floor will be removed in the process.
