This morning, a number of parties met to discuss aspects and impacts of the utilities removal process that was set to begin this past Monday in the VA Footprint.
It appears that the status quo - i.e., no utility cut off or disruption for those remaining in the VA Footprint (certainly for a few remaining residents facing special circumstances) - will hold until at least Wednesday, October 27.
This positive development gives remaining residents, like the lady pictured below - who began to move out of her home on S. Miro Street today - a bit more time to arrange departure from the site.
