Remember this house? This one, the one I've been asking questions about.
On Tuesday evening, I learned at a neighborhood meeting put on by the VA that it is not one of the homes that will be saved and moved on-site for transitional housing cottages. Instead, four homes on Cleveland Street will be saved for that purpose - two immediately above S. Tonti and two immediately below. This diverges from what I've been led to believe all along, but it's great to know.
Meanwhile, the house at 310-12 S. Miro, shown above, struck passersby as noteworthy. Crews are removing the lower floor and moving the upper floor to serve as a residence in a new location. It's pretty amazing.
