Interesting. Very interesting.
You may recall the post I made some time ago wondering where the many tons of debris from the VA and LSU Footprints were going - debris that would not have been generated at similar levels if the state had decided to reuse the existing Charity Hospital.
Well, a recent public records request (an excerpt of which is shown above) has revealed the destination of some of the contaminated soil removed from the VA site. River Birch landfill. As I recall from watching the removal of some of the contaminated soil near Dixie Brewery, the 408-410 S. Tonti site involved in this report, there were many trucks.
