Historic, Livable, Movable...and Heading for the Landfill

This beautiful 2-bay shotgun at 218 S. Prieur in the LSU Footprint lost its quoins and some of its brackets recently.  Unless it's theft of architectural elements, there's salvage underway, which ultimately means the building will soon be demolished like the dozen or so other buildings that have been demolished in the site.

There is still no house moving plan in place for the LSU Footprint, as far as I know.  The UMC Board still does not having adequate funding secured to build the hospital proposed for the site.  I sound like a broken record player, but it's important not to forget.
