In 1942















the S.W. Green mansion at 219 S. Miro was auctioned.
A friend of the blog was kind enough to send along the clipping from the newspaper, which provides a nice description.

    Mr. Green passed away in 1946. The 1942 auction was related to a civil suit.

    That's right - thank you for noting that.

    As you pointed out in a separate contact, Anonymous, Mr. Green actually resided at 2118 Cleveland Avenue - in the LSU Footprint - when he passed away.

    That house, unfortunately, has already been demolished.
